The firm's fees are calculated on a time spent basis using a variable hourly rate (from € 170 to 475 excl. VAT), depending on the experience and area of expertise of the lawyers involved in the assignment.

Further fees may be charged, by agreement with the client - based on the timescale, difficulty of the case or the result obtained.

Fees are usually invoiced on completion of the assignment and are payable upon receipt of the invoice.

For a long assignment, fees are staggered at regular intervals depending on the amount involved. A payment on account might be requested at the beginning of the assignment.

The firm can provide a prior estimate if the client requires one.

The costs and disbursements incurred on behalf of the client are re-invoiced Euro for Euro on presentation of documentary evidence.

Agent in real estate transactions

In accordance with the possibilities offered by the lawyer's code of ethics, Troy & Associés is authorized, as a secondary profession, to act as an agent in real-estate transactions.

This activity allows us to assist in negotiating the sale or purchase of real estate, exclusively on behalf of either the seller or the purchaser, in addition to the legal and tax services we provide.

Similarly, we can also intervene in the rental sector, on behalf of either landlords or tenants.
Our remuneration in this sector complies with the provisions of our code of ethics (see Article P.6.2.04 of the Internal Rules of the Paris Bar & Appendix XV).

Georges Troy joined the French Ministry of Economy and Finance when he left the Ecole nationale des impôts. Then he joined as Inhouse Group tax adviser Usinor, now Arcelor.

Georges Troy has recognized competencies in the fields of mergers and acquisitions, tax law, company law and dispute resolutions and holds frequent speeches on international and domestic topics.

Rolland Troy, DES (post-graduate degree) in public law and the Ecole nationale d'administration which trains senior French public servants.. He held various positions of responsibility with French companies, and then he was appointed as President of Syndicat français des textiles artificiels et synthétiques.
